My name is Alan Marcum. I’ve reached a point in my life that I decided to create my own website.

I’m interested in sharing about my experiences with amateur radio, the U.S. Army, RV/camping, and my latest hobby, viewing outer space with my new telescope. I hope you find it interesting. I invite you to make comments through my Contact Me form.

My only surviving uncle, Robert “Bob” Marcum passed away on November 28, 2020 at the age of 100. My brother, Larry, did an interview with him in 2007 when uncle Bob talked about his interesting life. My wife, Catherine and I, along with our granddaughter, Molly, were able to visit with him at the end of August 2020 when his centennial birthday was celebrated!
